Green Tea Latte: The Next Big Rage When it Comes to Green Tea
Thursday, April 26th, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedOne of the many types of gourmet coffees that have become popular in the United States today is latte. This is a coffee beverage that is made with hot milk. There is also 1 or 2 shots of espresso in it. While it is similar to cappuccino a latte has a lot less foam on top of it. Along with Americans’ craze for latte comes their understanding that they need to drink more green tea.
They know that green tea is helpful with such medical conditions as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, high cholesterol levels, cardiovascular disease, infections and impaired immune function. So, it should come as no surprise that someone has created a green tea latte.
What a Green Tea Latte is
A green tea latte is made out of green tea that is accented with melon and ripe tropical fruits. This is made from freshly picked green tea leaves that are ground into a fine powder and then mixed with water. A hint of honeydew melon and tropical fruits are then added to it.
Afterwards it is made into a latte, as described above, which many people say is delicious regardless as to whether you drink or hot or have it served over ice. So, essentially the ingredients that are found in a green tea latte include water, green tea, organic cane sugar, honeydew juice concentrate, natural fruit flavors, gum, Arabic, xanthan gum, guar gum and citric acid.
Tazo: The Originator of Green Tea Latte
The first green tea latte was created by Tazo in order to reinvent tea and the tea experience. This is just 1 of the many unique products that this company has created. Their desire is to create an emotional connection with the consumer. For this reason, they are continuing to expose consumers to the ancient traditions of tea in a way that is bold, interesting and intriguing.
If you were to drink a green tea latte that was made by Tazo you could probably taste the difference, which stems from the fact that this company purchases their teas in their original container. They do so to ensure that their green tea is garden fresh and has not been exposed to the heat and moisture that are found within the blending facility at a tea shipping point.
The blending process is a very subtle art form that relies on subjective measurement of taste, color and aroma. Tazo constantly taste and determine which teas will go in which blend in what percentage, so flavor profiles remain consistent and of the highest quality possible.
